According to the Canada Post website, it took her over 24 hours to travel from Japan to Canada (left Japan at 06:22 July 28, local time and arrived at 16:33 on July 29, also local time). There’s like a huge time difference (over 12 hours, with Japan being ahead of where I am!) so I was a little bit concerned there for a moment. But she’s in Canada! She’s in BC! She’s currently being held by Customs. Hopefully she gets released soon so I can get her! I’m so eager to check her out, she’ll be my second Blythe and my first EBL doll (there are various face molds for Blythe: BL/EBL – same mold, different body; SBL; RBL – the kind that Sophie is!; and FBL – super new, only 2 dolls have been released with that mold so far).

Can’t wait until she gets here!

Sophie’s getting a new sister/friend soon! I paid for her today and she should be here in about 5 days or so (hopefully by Friday so she won’t be stuck in the post office over the weekend). Her stock name is Love Mission and she is an EBL (there are various face molds: BL, EBL, SBL, RBL and FBL). If memory serves, E stands for Excellence (S is Superior, R is Radiance and F is Fairest). Sophie is a RBL (she’s a newer doll than Love Mission is). Here’s the seller’s photo:

Guess who's coming to live with me!

Of course, drama ensued after Sophie was looking through my Flickr photostream (aka, her modeling portfolio):

You did what?!

S: *tear* I can’t believe you’d get another Blythe. What about -me-? Are you just going to toss me to the curb?
M: I’d never “toss” you to the curb, Sophie. Besides, you’re going to be staying. And you’ll be having a new friend.
S: Like I care about having *friends*.
M: -sigh- Well, with two of you, I’ll have more motivation to make you guys some new clothes…
S: Dresses?
M: Yes, dresses.
S: I get first dibs. On everything. Forever.
M: … Okay? #
S: Pinkie swear?
M: Pinkie swear.

# At this point, I was ready to agree to anything. It’s hard to see her cry. :(

I suppose she's okay...

S: I suppose she’s okay…
M: Oh thank goodness…
S: But only if she really does come with some nice shoes. I want new shoes. I’m tired of walking around without shoes on.
M: You’re walking around the house, Sophie.
S: You should make me slippers then!

Close up of the candy!

S: Now take my photo! I want to show off these cute little candies in my hair!
M: Where’s the please…?
S: You didn’t ask me if I was okay with a new “friend” before you went and bought her. So I don’t need to say please.

Now I’m off to finish up some of the pages I was going to get up yesterday. Sophie says hi to everyone and asks that everyone petition against the addition to my dolly family (which currently consists of one…). I’m afraid she’s a bit spoiled now.

Welcome!

Hey everyone… Welcome to my Blythe/dolly-related blog. At the time of writing, I have one Blythe doll, a Cappuccino Chat by the name of Sophie. I got her on June 28 2009 after years (literally!) of looking at a lot of photos of a lot of Blythes online. And now I finally have one! I do have an ever-changing wishlist for more additions to my doll family, but most of them do stay the same.

Sophie would be polite and say hello, but I dragged her out of bed for some candid snaps so she’s really not impressed with me at the moment. She think I’m “depriving” her of shoes. And sleep.

Someone's not impressed with me...
