Deena – Blythe dolls have pullrings attached to a string that goes into their heads. When you pull on the string, the eyes close and when you release the string, the eyes open back up and they would have rotated to a new ‘set’ of eyes. Blythes have 4 sets of eye colours, 2 that look forward, 1 that looks to the left and 1 that looks to the right. The stock eye colours are blue, green, pink and orange. I’m planning on changing them on both of my dolls when I go to gaze correct them and give them sleep eyes (mild customization).
Anyways, here’s some Belarus spam! I made her a new hat but I can’t figure out what kind of ‘animal’ hat she has on now. It was supposed to be cat ears, but they’re a little too rounded/long. But I can’t figure out quite what they would represent. Any ideas?

I got mail yesterday for the girls:

On the left side: black pullrings and strings, toffee, apple and turquoise eyechips for Belarus. (Toffee will complete her mini-me look.)
On the right side: kiwi jelly pullrings and strings, wheat, olive drab and teal eyechips for Sophie.
All I need is the nerve to actually change out their eyechips and to give them sleep eyes and a bit of gaze correction (so they can look *up* at me, rather than looking down when they’re standing up straight).
My order of Twiggy Twiggy pullrings (with matching strings) and Brainworm eyechips came from April of commonlycute.com! I placed my order on August 9 (Sunday night) and it was put into the mail the next day (Monday) and arrived within a week (Monday August 17th) from the east coast of USA to the west coast of Canada. Not bad, not bad at all.

Me: What do you have there, Sophie?
S: Swimming goggles!
Me: …. But why?
S: Because I want to go swimming, duh.
Me: I don’t think those are going to fit…
S: Yes. They are.

S: See, they’re a good fit, right?
Me: I don’t think so, Soph. The water will get into your eyes. Besides, it’s kind of late to go swimming, and you don’t have a swim suit.

S: Well it’s not *my* fault that you won’t get me proper goggles or a swim suit!
Me: Sophie…
S: I mean, I appreciate everything that you do for me. I just wish you’d get me swimming goggles and a swim suit. A cute one. And a pool boy.
Me: SOPHIE! You’re a bit young to be thinking about things like that.
S: No I’m not… And you were thinking it too. Don’t lie.

I decided to try my hand at doing side buns after seeing so many photos of Blythes with side buns. It’s not very neat… I only used 2 hair clips for this, one for each side, but I thought it was neat enough. The ends that are loose are because her hair’s uneven. It’s grown on me now though, so I’ll probably leave it as is.
