Little Miss Schoolgirl

I went out today to go shopping and found these cute doll outfits that went with these ugly looking dolls (their faces were *very* similar to Licca dolls, but the eyes were way too big and the bodies looked… odd. The arms were a completely different shade from the body!). And they had separate outfits for sale, so I figured I’d give it a try (just bought the one outfit – came with 1 pair of shoes and 1 outfit – the shirt and skirt are one piece). I figured at a few dollars, it would be okay if it didn’t work out (I was worried the shoes wouldn’t fit). But the shoes fit! And the schoolgirl outfit fits beautifully as well
There’s some stray threads on the inside and I’m going to fray check it all.
The shoes are black PVC – I haven’t left them on her feet for very long (rather afraid of them staining her poor little feet), but so far they haven’t stained (however, I have only left them on for about 10 minutes). So here is Belarus, dressed up as a schoolgirl!
B: I am totally cool now.
Me: Okay…?
B: I like that I get to try on new clothes before Sophie does.
M: Well, now I’m planning on going back to the store and getting her a school outfit too.
B: … Not cool.
M: But you’ll both also get cute kiminos in different colours. They have some neat prints, and come with new shoes too…
B: I do like having shoes, since that bee-yotch stole my other pairs…
M: Mind your language!
You can totally see just how short the skirt is on her in this photo, if you notice where her knees are… (For those not familiar – take a look at where the shadow of her pullring is – that’s about where her knees are!).
And here is a close up of the new black shoes that the girls can fight over (LOL). They look a lot like the black shoes that my sisters used to wear when they had to wear school uniforms. I’m going to give them a slight trim to get rid of that unsightly piece of plastic sticking off (boo to the company’s quality control).
Overall, the outfit gets a B- from me. It is super cute, however, there are unfinished edges that will need to get fray checked. Also, the velcro used is not dolly-friendly velcro and will need to be fixed up a bit (unless I want their hair to get stuck to it) and the shoes need a bit of a trim… But overall, it’s a cute outfit and I do like it (especially for the price that I paid for it) enough that I don’t mind having to do a small amount of work to make the outfit last
Belarus is wearing: school girl outfit (from the “Elly-chan” fashion doll outfit set), black school shoes (from the “Elly-chan” fashion doll outfit set).

The outfit looks cute. I can’t wait to see the others
Oh my gosh, what a cute outfit!!
Those shoes are absolutely darling!!
[...] each got our very own kimonos (I got the pink one while Rusy got the blue one). I also got my own school uniform (Belarus got hers before mine, it was so unfair!), and we got some clothes that we ‘have to [...]
