Considering 365

For those that don’t know, 365 is a photo-taking challenge and it would involve taking 1 photo of the same (or different, depending on which Flickr group I decide to submit my photos to…) doll each day.

Pros to doing 365:

  • I’d be more likely to expand the wardrobe of my dolls
  • I’d be taking more photos of my dolls
  • I’d be more likely to take photos in places that I normally would not take photos (i.e. somewhere besides the confines of my bedroom)

Cons to doing 365:

  • I’d be more likely to expand the wardrobe of my dolls (and that costs $$$ for either already-made clothes/shoes or yarn/fabric to make clothes, not shoes, I don’t know how to cobble teeny tiny shoes)
  • I’d have to figure out a way to safely carry around one of them for an entire year
  • It’s 365 days. That’s a photo a day. Gahhhh.

But I think I might do it, 365 that is. I’d just need to figure out which doll I’d want to carry around for a year.

Pros and cons for Sophie (Cappuccino Chat):

  • She’s my first Blythe
  • She’s got incredibly long hair, that’s fun to style. But it also gets very staticky and tangles easily. Plus the thatching isn’t completely and it’s a side part, I find it harder to do neat, even pigtails with her.
  • She’s my demanding model with the personality and attitude to match.

Pros and cons for Belarus (Love Mission):

  • Pretty much any of the dolly clothes that I have work well on her (yay)
  • Her hair is easy to style and she’s got those EBL pink eye chips (love)
  • She has a very sullen expression in a lot of the photos that I take of her, so I’m not sure how well that’d transfer over into a 365 challenge.

Pros and cons for Tertiary Jane (Simply Peppermint):

  • She’s the newest, so I’m still trying to ‘figure out’ who she is on a personality level
  • Not sure how well that minty green-blue hair will go with a lot of the doll clothes/hats that I have
  • Super bright makeup, which shows up in photos! However, have heard many horror stories about how the makeup on newer release dolls (like Simply Peppermint) come off very easily…

But each of my girls decided to come up with a statement with exactly why they should be picked to do 365.

Sophie
I’m technically the best doll ever. Plus, I should get to wear everything that comes into this house first. That includes things that Michelle makes. And plus I have an awesome sense of style, I’d be *very* responsible with Michelle’s credit card when it comes to online dress purchases and I think I could totally handle being followed around for a year by the paparazzi. I also need to have photos taken of me if I ever want to become a professional model.

Belarus
I’m a lot less demanding than Sophie will ever be. I’m also the only EBL in the family, which makes me pretty damn special. I like a lot of the same things that Michelle does, and I’m willing to wear her failing attempts at crocheting, knitting and sewing (sorry, Michelle!). And a lot of colours go well with my dark hair. Which makes me awesome, yes?

Tertiary Jane
I’m the newest of the bunch and I love science. Plus I arrived with my squishy black boots (you love my squishy black boots, don’t you?) and I’m permanently flushed, and it shows in photos! I’m more than ready to do what needs to get done to get the photo taken and I’m not in it for personal gain (like Sophie). My hair is also shorter than the other two’s hair is, and it’s fairly easy to style. And you know that even if my hair clashes with whatever I’m wearing, I’ll still look pretty darn cute.

Who would you vote for?

I’ve always liked Belarus, so my vote goes to her, but I’d be happy with Sophie too. I think you have a good point with Jane’s green hair possibly clashing with certain kinds of clothes (and backgrounds?)

I’d vote for Belarus! She really does go well with the different clothes you posted, and she has a sort of “serious” look, like most fashion models. :D But Tertiary Jane would be an unusual, yet pretty girl to take.

Can’t wait to see more photos!
