What is this blog about?

Little Miss Sophie is a blog about Blythe dolls. Blythe was first manufactured in 1972 by a toy company called Kenner. These dolls were produced for 1 year and pulled due to lack of popularity. Later, a photographer named Gina Garen was given one of the original Kenner Blythes to use as a photography model to perfect her photography skills. The popularity of these dolls was increased due to her work and the Takara-Tomy was licensed by Hasbro to make New Editions Of Blythe (NEO Blythe dolls).

There have been several different face molds for these dolls so far (from Takara: BL, EBL, SBL, RBL, FBL; from Ashton-Drake Galleries: ADG, produced in the States until 2008).

I started my doll family in June 2009 and I currently have 6 dolls (click here to find out more). This blog is designed and maintained by me, Michelle.

   Aww, the second picture is ADORABLE!!! And Bennet is so pretty. Her hair is wavy and she looks nice in her kimono type thing.
