What is this blog about?

Little Miss Sophie is a blog about Blythe dolls. Blythe was first manufactured in 1972 by a toy company called Kenner. These dolls were produced for 1 year and pulled due to lack of popularity. Later, a photographer named Gina Garen was given one of the original Kenner Blythes to use as a photography model to perfect her photography skills. The popularity of these dolls was increased due to her work and the Takara-Tomy was licensed by Hasbro to make New Editions Of Blythe (NEO Blythe dolls).

There have been several different face molds for these dolls so far (from Takara: BL, EBL, SBL, RBL, FBL; from Ashton-Drake Galleries: ADG, produced in the States until 2008).

I started my doll family in June 2009 and I currently have 6 dolls (click here to find out more). This blog is designed and maintained by me, Michelle.

Camera difficulties are really hard to deal with, but since I’m having them, I thought I would hare the last 365 photo that I took prior to my connection issues!

31/365 – *tap tap tap*

Sophie: I can’t believe you can be into that sort of thing.
Belarus: It’s just a video game.
Sophie: But you’re so *hooked* on technology.
Belarus: What are you doing?
Sophie: About to go log online. Want me to buy you anything with Michelle’s Paypal?
Belarus: The new Pokemon game.
Sophie: Will do!
