*tears* - 1/7

Sophie: YOU LEFT ME AT HOME!
Me: … I went to *work*…
Sophie: IT’S MY BIRTHDAY, YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE ME, YOUDON’TLOVEMEANYMOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Me: I didn’t think you’d want to go. Plus you slept in this morning.
Sophie: …

So... - 2/7

Sophie: So you didn’t forget my birthday?
Me: How could I forget your birthday when you’ve been telling me every day… for the last two months?
Sophie: … That is true.

Are you still wearing yesterday's clothes? - 3/7

Me: Are you still wearing yesterday’s clothes?
Sophie: I wanted to wallow in self pity. Wearing yesterday’s clothes seemed like it fit.
Me: Okay, come on, let’s get you into something better.

Much better! - 4/7

Me: Feeling better?
Sophie: Yup! But you still didn’t get me a birthday present…
Me: Look to your right, sweetie.

Oh, hah! - 5/7

Sophie: Oh, hah! Silly me!
Me: Uh huh. Let’s see how it all fits!

So what do you think? - 6/7

Sophie: So what do you think?
Me: You look great, Sophie!
Sophie: I don’t have to share, do I?
Me: Not if you don’t want to, but it’d be nice of you to share if your sisters asked nicely.
Sophie: I guess…
Me: Now time for your glam shot!

126/365 - Happy birthday, Sophie! 7/7

Me: Happy birthday, Sophie! Say ‘cheese’!
Sophie: GLAM!

GROW THE FUCK UP.

We’re adults (most of us) with an absurd amount of expendable income to spend on plastic dolls. Dolls. If you don’t like rules on forums, leave. If you feel the need to spam in order to buy or sell, also leave. If you think that buying and selling (for FREE) on forums is the way to go and that’s the only reason you’re part of a forum – please, for the love of all things remotely decent in the world, just move your ass over to Ebay or Etsy or Artfire or something. The main part of Plastic Paradise is not to facilitate you while you avoid paying additional Ebay/Etsy/Artfire fees. The main part of Plastic Paradise is to have a Blythe/dolly-friendly community.

And if you are incapable of getting that through your heads, please just go. If you want to lurk, come up with some way to come up with more than 30 non-spammy posts. If you want to be a member of the community, then be a member. But if all you want to do is creep on and read posts and never post a damn thing besides wanting to sell some random ugly-ass custom, then please, just go the fuck away.

Calling people names is not helpful. It’s not constructive, it’s not called for, it’s just hurtful. Even if you think that people can read the shit you say about them in the internet, someone else will, and then someone else will tell that person. If you cannot be grown up enough to keep a fucking doll forum drama-free, maybe it’s just not the place for you.

Sincerely,
Michelle

115/365 - Lamesauce

As mentioned in my last entry, I’m working on a brand new Blythe website! It’s going to go live on July 1st, 2010 (Thursday and it is also Canada Day, for all those who would like to know). I’m really excited about this new project and Sophie is excited too! Despite looking incredibly bored in the photo…

This is a general casting call (so to speak) for anyone who wishes to be featured on the new website, I’m looking for people that fit the following criteria (just one from the list!):

  • Etsy or Artfire seller who’s willing to do an interview and/or giveaway
  • Owner of a very large/impressive Blythe collection
  • Moderator/owner of a Blythe-related forum, Flickr group, website, blog, etc.
  • Blythe customizer
  • Anything else you can think of that’s featuring worthy

Comment on this post with your valid email address in the email section if you’re interested, or just send me an email at littlevampiregirl@gmail.com

Suggestions wanted!

I am working on a new website project, it’s going to be a Blythe website that I hope will be well-received by the dolly community. I’m currently working on the layout and some of the pages for the website, as well as working on all the little details that will make it just right (I hope!). In the meanwhile, I’m looking for suggestions!

Suggestions for articles, suggestions for what kind of giveaways you’d be interested in, suggestions for what kind of things you would like to see on a Blythe site!

Also, if you have an Etsy or Artfire Blythe-related website, I would love to do an interview with you for the new website! If interested, comment below or email me at littlevampiregirl@gmail.com for more details.

I’m also looking for people with large Blythe collections to interview, as well as people who customize dolls (either for personal use only or for commissions or both!).

Guess who’s 100? ;)
